Bulls, broncs and buckets of money, there’s something “Mutton Bustin’ – Wild and Woolly!” Mutton Bustin’ made its debut at the 2007 Energy Town ProRodeo and it proved so popular that we’ve brought it back for the 2008 show. Each night we pit ten of the toughest little cowboys and cowgirls to ever pull on a pair of boots |

One of the most enjoyable social events held during the Campbell County Fair and Energy Town ProRodeo is the Neighborhood Barbeque, sponsored by the Friends of Methane. Sixteen hundred friends and neighbors come together on Saturday, August 2nd at 5:00 P.M., to share stories, laughter and great food. The event is free to the public and is sponsored by the many local businesses that are involved in the coalbed methane industry. “Wind River Dancers bring Native American dance to Gillette” Ever play Cowboys and Indians when you were a kid? The Energy Town ProRodeo features the best of both worlds with first class rodeo cowboy competition and the Wind River Dancers, a Native American dance group from the Wind River Indian Reservation. Harvey Spoonhunter heads the group of dancers who wear traditional dance outfits and dance to the rhythm of the beating drum. Performing each night prior to the rodeo, the Wind River Dancers encourage audience members to participate in the round dance, take pictures and ask questions about their traditions. The color, sound and action make this dance group an experience you won’t want to miss!
